KleenLine™ Linear Low Density Healthcare Liners
These liners meet requirements for containment and transportation of regulated medical waste as described in 49 CFR 173.197 by the US Department of Transportation.
Suggested Applications for HDPE Can Liners:
•These liners meet the standard for tear performance in both directions with a minimum resistance of 480 grams (as measured by ASTM D1922).
•These liners meet the standard for puncture resistance with a minimum impact resistance of 165 grams (as measured by ASTM D1709).
Coreless roll liners simplify inventory management and portion control. They are easier to dispense and transport, especially on janitor carts. Cleaning staff can quickly see how many liners remain on each roll, unlike flat pack boxes where quantities are harder to monitor. HDPE liners are well-suited for smooth and non-sharp materials such as cans, food waste without sharp edges, grass, rags, and smooth heavy objects. They are also commonly used in office environments for items like paper plates, disposable cups, paper towels, and general office waste.
KleenLine™ Healthcare Liners are offered in colors which are designed to stand out so they can be separated for special handling. All liners are printed in both English and Spanish. Red liners are printed to read “Infectious Waste”, yellow liners are printed to read “Infectious Linen”, and blue liners are printed to read “Soiled Linen”.
Seal Type
Seal is the term used to describe bottom of a can liner. Almost all KleenLine™ Liners are star seal because this seal is the strongest. A star seal is not possible with the thickest gauge material, so a flat seal is used for those heavy-weight liners.
The Star Seal is a multilayered seal is fully gusseted and then folded prior to sealing, allowing for weight inside the liner to be evenly distributed and for gaps to be eliminated where leaks can occur. Star seal liners conform to the shape of the container and help to maximize carrying capacity.
